ALLY MANCINO
Montgomery
Senior
A four-year varsity starter, Mancino saved her best for last, allowing just six goals this year, leading Montgomery to a 19-1-1 record, and posting 15 shutouts. Mancino, who will play for the University of Connecticut next year, finished her varsity career with a 55-9-5 record and 57 shutouts, helping Montgomery to two Somerset County Tournament titles and a state Group III championship her freshman year.
LEXI SIMON
Montgomery
Senior
The Montgomery defense had some huge shoes to fill this season, and nobody did it better than Simon. The senior central-defender, along with junior Casey Niper and senior Alyssa Bull, picked up right where their All-State predecessors left off and helped lead Montgomery to its first-ever undefeated regular season. The Cougars finished 19-1-1, with their only loss coming to Brick Memorial in the Central Group IV final.
ALEX VAZQUEZ
Montgomery
Senior
The senior was the focal point of most opponents’ game-planning, as she was often marked, yet still managed 12 goals and 8 assists in the defense-first Montgomery attack. It was Vazquez that set up Emily Knesevitch’s game-winning goal in the Somerset County Tournament final, as the Cougars upset top-seeded Pingry 1-0 in double overtime to win their second county crown in the past three seasons.
